Debra's Bio
Deb Giordano, born and raised in Canada, began her physical fitness journey as a professional dancer with the Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago in 1980, where she danced, taught and choreographed for many years. Deb went on to teach as adjunct faculty member in the Theatre and Dance Department at Northwestern University from 1991 to 2001. She has been teaching Pilates since 2003 and her love of movement inspires her energetic teaching style. Since joining Pilates Central Wellness, she has attended many Postural Restoration Institute conferences and has received certificates in: Impingement and Instability, Myokinematic Restoration, PRI Integration for Fitness and Movement, and most recently, PRI Integration for Pilates.
Tina's Bio
Gustina “Tina” Giordano started dancing as soon as she could walk. Named after her grandfather, August “Gus”Giordano, famous jazz dancer, Tina lives up to the name. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, and ballroom both in Chicago and internationally in Montréal. She was the dance representative for the Fine Arts Council at McGill University and has led multiple ballroom dance classes. She was also a competitive Ice Dancer for the McGill University Figure Skating Team. She has over five years of co-teaching ballroom dance with her mother Debra. Tina also has extensive teaching training having earned a Masters in Education from McGill University. This mother-daughter duo will teach you all the moves you need to know and didn’t know you needed.
